Woodstock Film Festival 2022-2025   Audio Engineer, Woodstock, NY

Set up, test, and oversee audio systems used for panel discussions and multimedia events during annual Film Festival.

Socrates in the City Live Events

A1 Audio engineer for live broadcast events in New York City and Philadelphia.  The job requires designing and bringing in all of the audio equipment for each of these performances.  Each event is filmed in front of a live audience and broadcast online.

 

Record Narration of TV miniseries -  Judd Hirsch, narrator

Record actor, Judd Hirsch, narrating The Real Jesus of Nazareth TV miniseries.  The production company for this show was located in London which made it necessary to synchronize the audio and video feeds between the London studio and my studio in the U.S.  This allowed the production to stay on schedule and save the expense of flying people back and forth to England.

Steve Gorn at Maverick Concert Hall, Woodstock, NY

Annual event.  Front-Of-House mix engineer for this live concert featuring Grammy Award winning musician, Steve Gorn.

Hudson Valley Voice - Lazy Swan Resort

A regional “American-Idol” type vocal competition involving 12 contestant finalists culminating in 3 live shows. 

For these three events, I was the musical contractor and audio engineer for the final show.  I worked very closely with the musical director to create 3 successful live musical events.

Rio Jazz annual concert at DCCC 

This is an annual event at SUNY Dutchess located in Poughkeepsie, NY.  I have been involved with this event since 2012. This is an eight piece latin band that features many great jazz/latin musicians from the New York City environs.   You can hear some of the band's music from their CD "Brazilian Wish" on my Music page.

Broadway Review (featuring cast members of Mamma Mia) 

Front-of-house mix engineer for annual fundraising event at the  Temple Emanuel in Kingston, NY.  This Broadway "cabaret style" show features singers from the original Broadway cast of Mamma Mia.

Woodstock Jewish Congregation -  High Holy Days Services

A yearly event which involves setting up and operating a large audio system that serves a 1400 seat venue.  These services are held outdoors in a circus-sized tent and the audio system must provide clear, transparent audio. We use 4 Main speakers, set up in a standard LR configuration and 12 additional delay speakers located strategically throughout the tent. 

 

Women’s Health Expo - Lake Katrine, NY

A yearly event which involves set up and operation of audio and video systems for a weekend long conference/exposition.

This event includes lectures, performances, Q & A and panel discussions.  We also video record each event and

provide audio/video feeds throughout the facility.

 

Homespun Tapes - Series of teaching DVD’s for music instruction – Woodstock, NY 

Audio recording engineer for video sessions produced and directed by Happy Traum.  Worked with master musicians such as Steve Earle, Sam Bush, John Sebastian, and Al Pettaway.

 

Sage Arts Live Concert featuring Jay Ungar and Molly Mason 

Front-of-House and recording/mix engineer for this live concert featuring 9 composers performing their original songs.  The live band featured Jay Ungar and Molly Mason.  This event was recorded (multi track) and mixed in post production using Pro Tools.
